Vintage-style wedding day looks by Jo Leversuch
Jo Leversuch, owner of Make-up by Jo, along with talented wedding supplier Vicky Trainor and Becky Mitchell Photography, has sent us this photo shoot of a vintage-inspired wedding at Rigwood Manor. We hope any brides planning a vintage-style day will love these looks!
Here Jo explains more about the shoot and the idea behind the pin-up girl beauty looks:
"I wanted to share with you an exciting, colourful, fresh look with a modern twist on a vintage inspired wedding shoot at Rigwood Manor in Saltburn by the Sea. Last year I was approached by Vicky Trainor vintage stationer and Becky Mitchell photographer who were both excited about a new venture they had planned for January of this year.
"The bride, with her delicate skin and blonde hair, inspired me to search through magazines, especially Vogue, and I sat and watched the whole box set series of Mad Men. In the end, I wanted to achive a more modern and fresh 'american vintage' look with bronzed cheeks, blue eyes and the pure red lipstick.
The application of make-up began with skin primer to give the skin a velvet appearance with a light coverage of a sheer tint foundation. The eyeshadow applied was a turquoise colour applied wet in a mono style of one shade with a subtle hint of black eyeliner and mascara. The tanned blusher and bronzer applied to skin to add depth to the cheekbones. Finally the wonder of the red lipstick! This lipstick was a traditional vintage red shade supplied by Rockalily of London.
Bridesmaids make-up was applied in the same fashion. Fresh, modern with the twist of the traditional black eyeliner with the "flick" and gorgeous shades of various red lipsticks."
Jo Leversuch will be exhibiting and demonstrating at a new bridal event in the North East held by The Wedding Institute on Sunday 29th April at Saltburn Community Hall.
