Getting your bridal make-up just right can be tricky - that's why its always best to take advice from the professionals. We spoke to make-up artist Amanda Bell about acheiving a look thats both on-trend and suitable for the big day.
Amanda says: "I’m a believer that unless a bride has a particular look in mind, then a look that shows her at her absolute best is perfect for her wedding day. This is where a good makeup artist will be able to guide and advise brides on the colours and techniques that are best to enhance their natural features."

"Look to the bridal catwalks - at Vera Wang effortless elegance graced the catwalk and defined brows gave strength to a cleanly radiant skin. At Jenny Packham brows were also well defined and the overall look was healthy and luminescent. Glowing skin with a flush of peachy pink blush and some well placed highlighter on the cheekbones are a common theme this year, the accent being on a natural, beautiful and totally captivating finish."
"Another great place to find inspiration is celebrity events such as The Oscars, BAFTA’s and Golden Globes.  Having been the head make-up artist at the BAFTA’s for a number of years, I can see a definite similarity in the styles of red carpet make-up and bridal make-up. The techniques I use are virtually the same, with all those lights and cameras every bride deserves to be star of the show on the wedding day!"
