Choosing India As The Perfect Honeymoon Destination
If you’re looking for an unforgettable honeymoon destination, then India is becoming increasingly popular for newlyweds. A country packed with culture, breathtaking scenery and so much to see you’ll have plenty to squeeze into your visit. It’s about a nine-hour flight, so although long haul, it doesn’t take too long to get to this unique destination. As for the best time to visit, between October – May works best, the summers can get very hot so it’s best to avoid the height of Summer. If you’re looking for some inspiration when it comes to planning on what to do and when, this A-Z guide of India might help spark some inspiration.
The Culture and Food
One of the most beautiful things about India is the vivid and interesting culture. Taking the time to admire the diverse culture is one of the best parts of visiting India. A country full of history and with plenty on offer to explore, you’ll find lots to do. Food plays a big part in Indian culture, and there is plenty to try while you’re exploring the country. Two dishes worth trying out, include paneer butter masala and if you’re a fan of fish, then the goan fish curry is also one you need to try. The foods are packed full of flavour, you’ll find It hard not to fall in love with the food!
The Beautiful Scenery
There’s also a diverse mix of scenery within India. From busy cities such as Agra with its iconic landmarks such as the Taj Mahal, to the serene and blissful beaches where you can truly escape the hustle and bustle of the main cities. If you’re looking for somewhere peaceful to escape to then Andaman is known for being one of the most popular destinations for newlywed couples, a truly tropical paradise. If colourful city sight seeing is more your style, then there are some beautiful cities to explore. Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, known as the pink city is breath taking. The city was painted pink, the colour of hospitality, back in 1976 to impress Prince Albert and it has remained that colour ever since. There are plenty of tours available to ensure you get the chance to explore the colourful cities, so if this is something you’re interested in then a northern India tour is a great option.
Making The Most Of Your Trip
If you’ve settled on the thought of India as a honeymoon destination, you’ll want to make sure you make the most of your time out there. From choosing the right time of year to go and the length of your trip. You’d be surprised how much you can plan into your break, even if you’re limited to the amount of days you can spare. If you have a couple of weeks to play with, then the classic northern India tour takes around 8 nights, with some time left over for relaxing afterwards should you fancy heading to the beaches. If you don’t know where to start planning a trip that involves travelling around, then travel companies such as Abercrombie & Kent put together tailored packages which can help take away the stress of trying to plan it yourself. This can help if you’re unsure of where to go and how to book all the different elements of your holiday.
