Part One – #LoveIsNotCancelled

2020 has presented its fair share of challenges for the wedding industry, that’s for sure. Whether to actually produce our luxury title - or not - was an issue I, as an Editor, revisited many times.
Myself and the team decided, after much procrastination, that we couldn’t possibly leave our brides without their edition of Belle; after all, this is what we do and our dedication to our industry and our readers had to take precedence.

Hailed as one of our greatest issues to date by our peers and colleagues in the trade, we are delighted we persevered and launched AW20 to National applaud and incredible sales!
Cue blousy installations, pastel pretty suits and truly emotive scenes of colour and form that make this editorial one we are immensely proud of, and one we will remember for years to come.

The Brief

To illuminate the latest collections from iconic UK based luxury bridal brand Savin London.
We chose the hand painted Willa dress as our cover beauty and decided to base our blousy bloom backdrop around the colours of the dress, even matching the gems in our rings with the petals.

We chose Favourbrook London suits from JulesB to add a splash of colour and texture to the overall look.

Did You Know?

- It took Wild and Wonderful three hours to build our fresh flower backdrop (which was continuously moved throughout the shoot!)

- We handpicked our jewellery for the shoot from over £1million worth of vintage and fine jewellery from Kendalls Jewellers
- We managed to shoot 13 gowns in just five hours

- We had to rearrange this shoot three times due to Coronavirus
- The Willa dress is hand painted, each one taking days to complete...

A HUGE thanks to those whose creative endeavours championed this photoshoot, shot during the pandemic and which included all of the monumental stresses of social distancing (which interfered dramatically with the usual artistic license we’d normally take for granted)

Part Two – Diamond Light: Dianne Hassall X Kendalls Jewellers

Alongside our cover shoot, we constructed a glamour-driven editorial showcasing elegant footwear from renowned luxury shoe maker Diane Hassall with stunning pieces from Kendalls Jewellers.

Soft tulles and pastels made for a breathtaking yet barred-back palette, allowing the sparkling wrist wear and rings and beautiful fabrics of the bespoke footwear to come to the fore.

Lee Scullion's signature sharp-shooting captured movement and elegance in tandem.
