INTRODUCTION

Based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Barrie James is an award-winning Caricaturist with a knack of creating slapstick, quick-fire caricature portraits. If you’re looking for totally unique, conversation-sparking entertainment at your wedding,

this is the perfect option – not only having your guests in stitches, but leaving them with a memento of your special day. This one might not make the living room wall though…

This incredibly original act will blend into the crowd and entertain your guests with priceless one-on-one experiences. Typically drawing one or two quick fire portraits every 2-3 minutes from each group of guests, raising a laugh and moving on, it is this speedy approach that makes Barrie able to entertain a large room without having to bore them with a drawn out process (pardon the pun).

You were absolutely brilliant (and hilariously brutal with some!) everyone loved their caricature and the buzz it created amongst the guests was fantastic! A real talking point! Barrie was amazing! We had booked him for a wedding with 100+ guests but due to the pandemic we went ahead with only 14 guests. We still wanted Barrie to attend and he did with very short notice of a date change. We had him there for the evening and it really was amazing!! All we could hear from the corner he was working in was laughter! He is a very genuine lovely guy and fantastic at what he does!! We would highly recommend Barrie to anyone as he really entertained our guests and created memories for us all to treasure and look back on. Thank you so much!
