Wild With Love
INTRODUCTION
Just like the dress, the decorative blooms that will adorn your big-day memories are a highly personal decision. Fortunately for north-east brides, there’s a floral designer who’s keen to tune into your botanical vision, whether your W-Day vibe is heavy petal or wildly simple. A down-to-earth Northumbrian lass, Wild with Love’s Sharon is never happier than when immersed in the countryside surrounding her Alnwick base – in fact, it’s where she gets much of her inspiration…Established in 2016 with four event bookings, Wild with Love’s floral magic is now a word-of-mouth phenomenon, thanks to Sharon’s creative vision and passion for posies both regional and exotic.
Her repertoire of blooms ranges from imported stems to bountiful orders of pretty petals sourced from excellent local growers, Ginger House Garden and Rede Valley Flowers. So, if you’re an eco-conscious couple opting for a slow wedding, she will work with you to create an ethical installation full of lush foliage and colourful meadow blossoms, and hand-tied bouquets bursting with velvety tulips and ranunculi picked mere miles away. However, if you’re seeking a sophisticated statement featuring orchids, lilies, astilbes or protea, Sharon will be able to turn your wish into a fragrant, fabulously-arranged reality.
Grow Your Own Way: Weddings are Sharon’s favourite, and when she says that she offers a bespoke big-day service, she really means bespoke.
Whether your celebration vibe is laidback, OTT romance, quirky or all of the above, she will tailor the floral design to fit, from buttonholes to venue décor.
She understands the importance of flowers in setting the scene for every aspect of your wedding, and will have plenty of ideas to share to suit your tastes and budget (we don’t all have Elton John’s fresh flower allowance, after all).
With varied needs and limitations in mind, the florist doesn’t offer packages and has no minimum spend budget, as Sharon believes that everyone should be able to have beautiful blooms at their wedding.
If finances are an issue, just advise the team of your spending boundaries, as they have lots of ingenious tips for tweaking designs and botanical choices to balance your spreadsheet and achieve a floral fantasy within your means.
From foliage hoops strung from your reception ceiling to individual peony stems set in mis-matched crystal vases, your venue will be decked out exquisitely.
It all starts with a free consultation, where you can explore Wild with Love’s broad portfolio of previous creations, work through a floral checklist, and peruse a look book of blooms in the comfort of Sharon’s HQ, fuelled with a cuppa and delicious biscuits.
While some couples – particularly those based abroad – can’t manage a face-to-face meeting before the day, most opt for at least one, and often two or even more consultations in the lead up to the occasion. But whatever your availability, one thing is certain: Wild with Love will deliver exactly what you want.
So, take your time and smell the roses. In fact, lovers often end up building lasting friendships with Sharon and her team – a testament to a service that’s second to none!
Belle Loves: The DIY options. If you decide to go it alone, Wild with Love can facilitate you in your quest to create self-styled bouquets, floral installations and finer flourishes. Offering advice on the best regional flower-arranging workshops, as well as supplying and preparing your chosen mix of top-quality blossoms and foliage ready for you to arrange as you wish, Sharon will be as hands on or off as you want her to be.

My husband and I were married recently at Bamburgh Castle. We contacted Sharon and sent over an image of the colourscheme we had in mind. She was so accomodating from the start, and went above and beyond to match it, not only for my bouquet and hubby's buttonhole, but she also assembled and dressed our cake to match too. We really couldn't have asked for a nicer person to have been involved in our day. Sharon was such a pleasure to meet and have as one of our witnesses to our "just the 2 of us" wedding, and we honestly cannot recommend her highly enough!

My husband and I were married at Bamburgh Castle yesterday. I contacted Sharon about our requirements all by telephone and social media, in the lead up to the wedding. She knew exactly what we wanted and designed the most exquisite and beautiful bouquet, button hole for my husband and a cake topper. Sharon goes above and beyond and is a truly lovely lady. We highly recommend her!

Sharon is not only an extremely talented florist she is an absolutely wonderful person. When I spoke to her about my wedding flowers she was just brilliant - she knew exactly what I wanted & suggested wonderful flowers that I hadn’t even thought of! (Always being mindful of my budget) She was also beyond helpful when I unfortunately had to change my wedding plans. Cannot recommended her highly enough!
