Perfect Fit Bridal Couture Launch New Ready-To-Wear Collection 10
If you’re a newly-engaged babe with an exacting fashion eye, it may be worth heading straight to the designer’s atelier to collaborate on a bespoke number.
And if you’re all about finery – and the fine details – Perfect Fit Bridal Couture should be your first port of call.
The Leeds-based label is run by bespoke wedding dressmaker, bridal designer and alterations specialist extraordinaire Wendie, who has more than 30 years’ experience in making dress dreams come true.
Alongside her small, friendly team of stylists, she focuses on creating an exceptional, totally personalised bridal experience for each and every client through a series of one-to-one consultations and fittings in the luxury bridal studio.
While the intermittent lockdown phases and wedding celebrations of the past year have proved challenging, with many Perfect Fit clients having to move their big day sometimes multiple times, Wendie is feeling positive and hopeful for summer 2021 and beyond.
“During that weird phase in between June and October last year, I did find that some of our brides weren’t as excited as usual,” she explains.
“Which was largely down to the constant changes to regulations. And there are some clients this year that have picked up their completed gown, but are now holding out for a date when they can celebrate exactly how they want to – and give their dream dress the outing it deserves.
I do believe things are getting better, and that our brides will be able to have their perfect big days.”
With this in mind, Perfect Fit Bridal Couture has launched a range of ready-to-wear styles to complement its tailor-made design service – meaning that whether you have your own masterpiece vision in mind or want a bit of glamazon guidance, you’ll be serving serious aisle style.
So, what are you waiting for? Your couture dream awaits!
Your Heart’s Desire
“Whatever a bride’s size, shape or taste, she deserves to wear a dress that she feels absolutely gorgeous in.” Amen, Wendie.
With an exhaustive spectrum of flawless silhouettes, sizes, tones, textures and details in her dressmaking portfolio, it goes without saying that whether brides are looking to breathe life into their fantasy sketch, or simply want lay down some ideas and non-negotiables, they can rely on Perfect Fit’s made-to-measure queen.
But what of those aforementioned fine details? Well, Wendie – who describes Perfect Fit’s signature style as “whatever I’ve never seen other designers do.” – fuels her boundless creativity by sourcing a wide variety of rich, lustrous fabrics from all over the world.
Think skin tone-matched laces, lavish embellishments, fluid silks, luminous satins and sumptuous crepes. And with a design repertoire that includes appliqué Bardot sleeves, tulle capes, multicoloured embroidery and bold back cut outs, both classic princess brides-to-be and alternative almost-marrieds will find ideas to fit their diverse vibes here.
Ready to Wed
While custom-made gowns are a speciality, the label’s new ready-to-wear collection of 15 dreamy wedding dresses is diverse enough to offer contemporary brides of all tribes seriously gorge options.
From the corseted guipure lace and tulle sophistication of Audrey and the pink-and-silver eleganza of Fleur’s appliqué overlay to Mabel’s super-slinky fit-and-flare silhouette and the subtlety of Saffron’s satin slip and tulle bell sleeves combo, there’s so much exquisite technique on show.
Decorative perfection aside, these gowns also have serious personality. We can see edgy pastel tattoo-print Eleora coming to life at festival-themed nuptials, while the quirkily embroidered Skye suits city-centre town hall vows and champagne confection Raine has bohemian barn big day written all over it. What more can a fashion-forward beauty ask for?
Harking back to Perfect Fit’s couture DNA, it’s even possible to take elements of these creations as a jump-off point for a whole new look. Want to add full sleeves to Willow? No problem. Want Mauve in a blush pink? Sure thing. Want a full tulle skirt with Florence’s bodice? Give Wendie a call. Now.
If you had to force a favourite out of us, it’d be the ethereal Celine. Its delicate leaf appliqué, full tulle skirt and illusion flourishes will elicit the big entrance reaction you want.
