Equine charm aside, rustic opulence was the order of the day, bringing together the talents of Belle Bridal Guest List suppliers Alexander Weddings & Events, Scott Carney, Hugo & Elliot Bridal and Baba Ganoush Catering, as well as many other gifted event creatives. With rich, earthy tones, a mix of fresh roses and dried flowers, macramé hangings and golden accents, Blush & Bloom’s Danielle has created a vibe of laidback luxury with a retro edge. Think a festival of love with Fleetwood Mac as headliners and you’re getting close…

Queens of Bohemia

Both bridal babes were decked out in ethereal-glam finery for their horseback close-ups, with Bridget dazzling in the sunlight in a spaghetti-strapped heavily beaded tulle Ria Tener gown, while Katie rode around the lake in an exquisite Eddy K floral appliqué number with an organza skirt.

Back on terra firma, the free-spirited fashion parade continued, with the pretty pair working a cool keyhole-backed dress from Rembo Styling, a Pronovias fishtail showstopper with a sweetheart neckline, an illusion-panelled lace Adriana Alier mermaid gown and a delicate lace and crepe Alma Novia halter. While make-up artist Charlotte complemented the lavish yet laidback looks and both girls’ natural beauty with subtle enhancements, hair stylist Unity opted to give Katie’s half-up half-down do an edge with entwined plaits and a dried floral headpiece, and gave Bridget a romantic, textured up do with soft winsome waves.

Styling Magic

The eclectic ambience of this free-spirited big-day set-up is all in the decorative flourishes and finer details. From the driftwood and cotton rope macramé installation and silky sheathes of pampas grass to the woven altar arch and vases of feathers lining the aisle, tactile natural and found materials add textural interest throughout the sophisticated space. Meanwhile, velvety bouquets of anthurium and Avalanche roses in toffee, nude and white, a wedding cake with chicly draped icing and tablescape adorned with golden flared charger plates and rich terracotta napkins tap into Lake Henry’s sumptuous quality.

WE COMBINED BOTH FRESH AND DRIED FLOWERS WITHIN THE STYLING AND USED AN ARRAY OF LUXURY FLOWERS AND ROSES TO ENSURE WE KEPT TO THE HIGH STANDARD OF LAKE HENRY.

The visual riot of pretty watercolour stationery, neon signs, dainty cake lollipop favours and vibrant summer grazing boards add to the sensory feast for the eyes (and mouth) on offer – and illustrates how extra you can go with an Alexander Weddings & Events celebration.
