Wynyard Hall: Anju and Jamie’s Cultural and Enchanting Wedding Celebration
Set amidst 150 acres of historical landscape, Wynyard Hall was the perfect setting for the wedding of Anju and Jamie.
The couple found love on a dating app before falling in love and taking their relationship to the next level.
Anju and Jamie had always dreamt of having a wedding day that reflected a fusion of both their cultures and passion for travelling, but most importantly a day that everyone could enjoy.
The Venue:
‘Where exquisite charm meets contemporary comfort’
Enchanting to say the least, this beautiful hotel, situated in the Tees Valley, Durham, promised Anju and Jamie the wedding day of their dreams.
Known as the North East’s most romantic destination, there’s no surprise both the bride and groom fell in love all over again with all that Wynyard Hall had to offer.
The grand space allowed a perfect blank canvas for Anju and Jamie’s wedding – tall glass vases with blossoming flowers stood in the centre of each table while the floor-to-ceiling windows and white tiebacks added an elegant touch.
Anju said: “With my parents living in Wynyard, the Hall itself had been a dream of mine for a long time. A breath-taking venue with idyllic surroundings – by far the best venue we visited.
As soon as we saw the rooms set up, we had instant goose bumps and from then, we knew it was the perfect venue for our perfect day. We would definitely recommend Wynyard Hall!”
The Dress:
“As I wanted to wear a traditional Indian dress, wedding dress shopping was harder than I thought. I went to an Asian bridal show in Bradford in search for inspiration, luckily on my first trip to Bombay Stores, I was able to design my own dress and have it custom made.
I couldn’t have dreamed of anything more perfect to wear on my wedding day.” Anju reflected.
A beauty in red – Anju wore a gorgeous bespoke a-line wedding dress, with rich gold detailing and embellishments. The stunning colours oozed luxury and elegance and showcased her culture beautifully.
The Bride’s Advice:
“Planning is the key – make a list for everything you would like and estimate a budget. We under budgeted for a lot of things initially however, as we booked things well in advance, we had time to work it into our budget. Making spreadsheets and keeping them up to date was very helpful.
Most importantly, try and enjoy it! Try not to get too stressed, planning your wedding should be fun and when you are feeling overwhelmed remember it is going to be the best day of your lives!”
