Beamish Hall Hotel: Stacey and Gary’s home from home traditional style wedding

DATE

“The day from start to finish was perfect.”

A fusion of character and history, this family owned hotel, Beamish Hall is set within 24-acres of picturesque parklands. Renowned for offering nothing less than a romantic setting, it came as no surprise that newly wed couple; Stacey and Gary fell in love all over again.

The couple caught each other’s eye when out socialising in a nightclub in Sunderland. Stacey said, “I’d love to say it was romantic, but it probably wasn’t!” Since being together from a young age, they finally tied the knot back in late August.

After moving to Brisbane, Australia, Stacey and Gary always knew they would come back home to get married. “As much as there are countless beautiful spots around Brisbane, we wouldn’t have been able to get married without all of our family and friends back home,” Stacey said.

THE VENUE:

The couple said their vows in the Common Room, where the dressed chivari chairs, scattered petals and statement chandeliers added a classic feel to the traditional-style room. Their evening reception was held in the beautiful Winter Gardens, consisted of draped ivory leaves, white tie backs and hanging fairy lights. Beamish Hall is a hidden gem nestled in the hills of Derewnt Valley.  It promised and delivered romance, elegance and history.

THE DRESS:

Stacey stepped out in a stunning sleeveless, Lily White Couture dress, with embellished detail across the shoulders. While the draped beads complemented the low cut back, this simple, figure hugging design created an extra touch of elegance and class.

Stacey had no intentions of finding her dream dress in the UK.  However after visiting Mia Sposa Bridal Boutique in Newcastle, with her mum and bridesmaids, she had her heart set on the very first dress she tried on. Stacey said, “luckily for me, there was a supplier of the same designer in Brisbane and they had the dress I wanted.”

THE PHOTOGRAPHER:

Lee Scullion was the photographer for Stacey and Gary’s home from home wedding. He captured the spirit of the day perfectly with lots of fun and laughter.

“We felt an instant connection to him. Lee is one of the best around and his work is second to none. Everyone loved having him there on the day, he has the best energy!”

Stacey said, “When people say it’s the best day of your life, they’re not lying! We truly had the best time and we couldn’t have wanted anything more.”
