REAL WEDDING
READ THE ROMANCE
After first locking eyes at the infamous University of Sheffield student club ‘Pop Tarts’, it wasn’t until Emma and Rosa by chance met again three years later in a gym in York that their romance properly began.
Quite the romantic, Rossa didn’t spare on any of the details when popping the question to his future Mrs. Swapping Pop Tarts for the (slightly) more idyllic setting of a Grecian chapel, Rossa got down on knee to make it official. Fast forward to their wedding day, and they're living it up in the most captivating boho-luxe chapel there is – Doxford Barn's Threshing Hall, a gorgeously atmospheric and tonal space nestled in the Northumberland countryside.

THE VENUE
Ever the decisive pair, their wedding venue was in fact the very first one they viewed, and despite visiting others they found that there was just something about Doxford Barns that kept pulling them back- it must have been love, ey?

WE LOVED DOXFORD AS SOON AS WE SAW IT. IT WAS THE FIRST VENUE WE LOOKED AT… NOWHERE ELSE SEEMED QUITE SO RIGHT FOR US.
EMMA, BRIDE
And it’s easy to see why the pair fell head over heels. With the Threshing Hall’s triple height ornate oak frame, hand carved stone walls, illuminated with vast chandeliers and an original stone fireplace carefully curated with bespoke floral and candlelit displays, the space is filled with character and romantic atmosphere aplenty.

SERIOUSLY CHIC STYLING
Despite getting married in one of the North East’s most swoon worthy spaces, Emma and Rossa are the stars of this fairytale. Having scouted out the style of dress in advance, our gorgeous bride fell head over heels for the classic style of the Jesus Peiro gowns. Opting for a sleek, minimal satin number with a cross back, front split and pockets (of course, pockets), Emma completed her look with a pearl embroidered veil. The look screams high fashion, and highlights that sometimes, less is definitely more.
MY DREAM DRESS WAS THE FIRST ONE I TRIED ON!

SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING BLUE
And while normally it's the brides who are drawing all the eyes, Rossa stepped up when it came to his suit. Stepping out in a blue velvet tux, the fashion forward pair look like they're fresh off a red carpet in Cannes.

Q&A
How did you find the perfect wedding photographer?
We’d seen Jon’s photos of a friend of a friend’s wedding and we loved how he really captured so many candid moments. We didn’t want to spend lots of time posing for photos, rather have a photographer who was able to be part of and capture the action.
Out of 10, how involved was your partner in the planning process? (answer honestly!)
We both pretty much did as much as one another – obviously some aspects had more interest to me than Rossa, and vice versa.
Favourite image and why?
Again, there are just too many already and we haven’t even had all the photos back yet. I think the photos Jon took of us on the beach are amazing and we were so lucky that the sun had come out.
Biggest word of advice to newly engaged couples?
Don’t panic and enjoy! And the clichés are true: it really is the best day of your life (even for an introvert).
