After a childhood romance, Faye and Billy sadly lost touch before their paths crossed again just five years ago.

Like most girls, Faye had visions of a magical fairytale wedding with a neutral colour palette and an array of flowers scattered throughout. With this in mind, Acklam Hall created the most perfect wedding the couple could have ever imagined.

Steeped in history, this unique wedding venue Acklam Hall emanates over 300 years of character and charm. Faye’s dream fairytale wedding stood before her when she visited this hidden gem, situated in the heart of Middlesbrough.

Faye - “As soon as we went to view Acklam Hall we knew it was perfect for us. We both wanted a classic and traditional venue but nothing that felt old fashioned.

I can’t recommend this venue enough, they were so helpful through our whole planning experience and couldn’t do enough for us on the day, they really went above and beyond what we expected. It really is beautiful.”

Bespoke Bride:

Although Faye knew she wanted a ballgown-style dress from the moment Billy proposed, she began to think she would never find what she was looking for.

“I eventually fell in love with a Morilee dress that was the exact style I wanted but still felt like it was missing something.

I got in touch with George Rowbotham who put in over 100 hours, sewing on thousands of hand-cut flowers, pearls and crystals to create my dream dress – I cant thank him enough!” - Faye

The Bride’s Words:

“Don’t get too stressed trying too hard to please your guests and remember it’s YOUR day!

I’d also say make sure you take five minutes to sit back with your partner and take everything in as I found that we were separated most of the day!

It’s so overwhelming - everyone says it but it’s true that the day really does go by so fast.”
