For Ellen and Gavin their beautiful celebration at Headlam Hall was a dream come true. “I always imagined myself getting married in a hall like Headlam Hall, and of course my wedding dream came true.” For the couple, when they saw the venue it was love at first sight. “We fell in love with Headlam Hall as soon as we went to visit! A family member had her birthday tea there and we knew it was the one for our favourite wedding venues also.”

In addition to the wedding venue, Ellen knew she wanted to incorporate colour into her celebration, which she did through her stunning bouquets. “I wanted colour, which I included in the flowers - they were amazing!”

“(I found the whole shopping experience) stressful! What I had in my head was totally different to what I picked and suited.” In the end Ellen found her dream dress from The Wedding Dress Company, in Corbridge, and I’m sure you’ll all agree she looks absolutely gorgeous.

How did you choose your photographer?

“My dad already knew of Fyzal because he is a photographer himself. We then seen him at a wedding fair and we knew Fyzal was the one to do our pictures. His work is amazing and we can’t thank him enough for our perfect pictures! He made us feel so comfortable, we also saw how much hard work he puts into his work and this is shown through the outstanding pictures he creates.”

Advice for other couples?
“Take everything in and just enjoy your day.”

What was your highlight of the day?
“Seeing my husband get emotional when he saw me.”
