Set in the heart of the North Yorkshire countryside, this luxurious and enchanting venue, The Priory Barn & Cottages, promised Helena and Robert a stylish and secluded space for their wedding celebration.

After swiping right on Tinder, the couple’s relationship soon blossomed and as the saying goes, the rest was history!

The Venue:

Boasting dramatic scenery and a romantic elegance, The Priory Barn & Cottages did not disappoint.

Small white fairy lights draped the ceiling above while the idyllic courtyard and private barn area created a sense of romance for Helena and Robert’s special day.

Helena said: “I can’t recommend the venue highly enough! The setting is absolutely stunning and as soon as I looked around, I knew I didn’t want to get married anywhere else.
 
The staff at the venue were just amazing! They go above and beyond to make sure everything goes smoothly. “

There is no doubt that The Priory Barn & Cottages offered Helena and Robert the perfect relaxed and intimate setting, they had always dreamt of having for their wedding day.

The Dress:

“I found the idea of shopping for a wedding dress very daunting! I don’t enjoy shopping at the best of times, but knowing you’ll look back on the photos from the wedding for so many years to come felt like a huge pressure,” Helena reflected.

The bride stepped out in a gorgeous fishtail style gown, with plunging neckline and delicate beaded detailing. 

This figure hugging dress, completed with a stunning train and cut-out back, oozed nothing short of elegance and beauty.

The Bride’s Advice:

“Try to get as much done as you can as early as possible! The last week before the wedding is hectic so if you have all your favours put together and place cards written, it makes a difference.

I absolutely loved every second of the day. Some of my best moments were saying our wedding vows, looking around during the drinks reception and seeing so many happy faces, my son speaking during the speeches, the hilarious father-daughter dance and my grandparents rocking the dance floor!

Try not to lose sight of why you are planning this crazy day – even if you are feeling super stressed it will all be worth it on the day and you get to spend the rest of your life married to your best friend.”
