With the summer season fast approaching we are lusting over dreamy destination weddings. Today, we are shining a light on one of our favourite weddings, set against the picturesque backdrop of sandy beaches and bright blue skies this chic celebration provides the perfect inspiration for all our travel savvy brides.

Meeting your soul mate is a life-changing moment, even if you’re blissfully unaware of it at the time. The moment you first meet your other half is something you’ll never forget, and it’s why many couples, including Luke and Kate, choose to celebrate their wedding in the same setting. “We met when we were both on holiday in Ibiza with our friends six years ago, and it’s part of the reason why we wanted to go back and get married there,” said Kate.

Luke and Kate wanted a laid-back wedding with space to party. For them, Amante Beach Club – a luxurious venue perched on a cliff overlooking the Sol Den Serra Bay – was the perfect location. “We booked a weekend in Ibiza to look at venues, and we went to Amante first. We never ended up going to look at any others, because I knew I wanted to get married there as soon as I saw it!”

When planning a wedding abroad, Kate explains: “It’s no harder than planning a wedding at home. The venue sent us a list of English-speaking suppliers that covered most things. Plus, Google can help out with a lot of ideas too.”

“Michael was the photographer for the groom’s brother’s wedding a couple of years ago, so we knew how good his work was. When we heard he’d done weddings abroad before, we contacted him immediately to come out and photograph ours.”
