Jesmond Dene House: A Dream In Jesmond Dene
Emily and Tom met at sixth form, like many true love stories they crossed paths through mutual friends and hit it off almost straight away! Fast forward 10 years later and the pair enjoyed a beautiful wedding celebration at the spectacular Jesmond Dene House - it was the perfect summer soiree.
"Tom had arranged a weekend in Paris for my birthday, our first holiday together was in Paris so it's a city that we both love to go back to. On the morning that we were leaving I woke up to breakfast in bed and Tom on one knee. He had bought me an engagement necklace instead of a ring as he wanted us to choose one together. I am so glad we did this as picking it together made it even more special and now I am lucky enough to have two pieces of jewellery to mark the occasion!"

How did you choose your venue?
"We didn’t want everyone to have to travel too far, so Jesmond Dene House was the perfect choice. We loved the elegance of the Great Hall and the beautiful surroundings in the gardens.
"Our main aim for the day was to have all our family and closest friends together celebrating and having fun – we wanted everything to be really relaxed and not too formal! We were overwhelmed when it came to choosing suppliers. It was at a wedding fair where I met Ross and once he came for an initial meeting we knew that he was going to be our photographer. We loved the previous weddings he had shot along with his style of work. On the day everyone felt so comfortable and the shots we got are so amazing plus we weren't away from the party for too long!"

Would you recommend the venue to future brides?
"The venue was just amazing, one of my very best friends, Christina is the Events Manager and her team made the planning process so easy and stress-free! The staff on the day of the wedding were faultless, so friendly and efficient. Our day went without a hitch… and as it always is at Jesmond Dene House, the food was so delicious!"

Advice for other brides and grooms?
"Remember what it is that you both want on your day and go with your gut. It is so hard to please everyone, if you are passionate about your decisions - everyone will be happy on the day."
