A serendipitous meeting in Tenerife as teenagers it was summer lovin’ for Jo-Ann and Joe as they got to know each other on holiday before discovering that they actually lived quite close together.

After going their separate ways for University, the pair met up again four years later and (finally) managed to go on a date.

A unique setting made for unforgettable memories – an open day at Matfen Hall sealed the deal for the couple when it came to searching for the dream venue.

“I instantly said to Joe – can we get married here?” – Jo-Ann

The moment Jo walked into the Great Hall she knew that the historic grandeur of Matfen Hall, with it’s surreal stained glass window and ample space was the ideal venue for their travel-themed décor.

With travel being such an integral part of the pair’s love story, Jo-Ann and Joe structured their theme around their travels together.

At the wedding breakfast each table was named after a different destination of theirs, with their top table being Paris – where Joe proposed.

Jo-Ann – “At my very first appointment I found THE dress. I tried on a few different styles and the one I actually picked out was the one I was least keen on hanging up on the rail, but once it was on… I totally fell in love.”

With the help of the friendly staff at Blue Bow Bridal, Jo-Ann stepped out in a beautiful Enzoani gown, crafted with distinctive lace detailing and blush colouring, adding beauty and romance to Jo-Ann and Joe’s whimsical wedding spectacular.
