Ibiza: Nicole and Kevin’s White Isle Wedding

DATE

From the moment Nicole and Kevin met, they always knew their perfect dream wedding would take place on a beach somewhere, surrounded by their family and friends.

After meeting on dating website, Plenty of Fish, Nicole described the pair as “children of the modern age”. The love soon blossomed between the couple, after their first date lasted around seven hours.

Nicole said, “We wanted a fun, chilled experience for our guests, very laid-back and nothing too formal. As we knew our family would happily travel, a beach/holiday destination was always the plan.”

Nicole and Kevin couldn’t wait to start planning their big day abroad, with no stress and keeping things as simple as possible.

THE VENUE:

The couple tied the knot in the stunning scenery of Ibiza at Cala Gracioneta El Chiringuito. This hidden treasure ticked all of Nicole and Kevin’s boxes consequently exceeding all their expectations of their dream wedding.

“We would both live in our flip flops and shorts if we could, so bringing this feel to our wedding was essential.

Cala Gracioneta had the hidden, off the beaten track, beach, the fairytale forestry setting, the space for the party and the quality service,” Nicole reflected.

The rustic chairs and ivory coloured flower arrangements added character and charm to this amazing beach side venue while the wooden features and dream catchers, created a bohemian feel to the romantic setting.

Nicole said, “Although we had only ever viewed the venue online and via a million images and videos, I could see it was everything we wanted and more. If I could describe the perfect place to marry Kevin, it’s there!”

THE BRIDE’S LOOK:

Nicole stood in an Enzoani fishtail dress, which she bought from Blue Bow Bridal in Durham. The sweetheart neckline and lace detailing was nothing short of elegant and beautiful.

Small white flowers were intertwined in Nicole’s hair, which fell gracefully down her back in a stunning plait.

THE BRIDE’S ADVICE:

“Remember to give yourself plenty of time to do everything you want to do – it prevents the infamous stress. Do it your own way and above all don’t be swayed by relatives of pinterest!

One of our highlights to come away with was knowing our day was captured on film. Videographers are often an after thought when actually; they give you moments you’re desperate to re-live!

You don’t understand how much of the day becomes a blur to you as you are so swept up in it all. Watching our video back was truly amazing. Kevin said it was the best money we’d spent!

Getting to the top of the aisle and Kevin had tears in his eyes … I couldn’t have paid for that moment and he’s hard to crack!

Other than my little DIY Glitter Bar (which went down a storm!), no other entertainment was needed.  The sun, sea and sand did the trick."
