It Was A Country-Style Affair For Joanne And Mike

Captured by Photography by Kathryn, Joanne and Mike celebrated their special day in the relaxed setting of their family farm in Hessay, North Yorkshire. “We are both huge country bumpkins, so having the wedding on the farm with our dog, friends and family were really important to us,” said Joanne.

She added: “We always knew we wanted to get married at the farm and to feel at home.”

Joanne is a wedding creative, who wanted to sprinkle a little DIY magic on her big day. “I wanted to make as many bits for it myself as I could and so spent most of the six months before the wedding decorating jam jars and planning our table settings.”

Advice for future brides and grooms-to-be?
“You can plan every last details, but at the end of the day what will be will be. The day is about you and your husband, and it is so important to just take a minute to sit back and soak it in together. Oh and make sure you eat beforehand otherwise that first glass of fizz might hit you rather quickly!”
