Mutual friends introduced these two lovebirds and after an entire decade together the couple eventually tied the knot! Laura and David chose to hold their special day at the Old Barn at South Causey Inn, which is the perfect venue for a laid-back celebration with family and friends.

"We have been together for 10 years after meeting through mutual friends. David proposed at my 21st birthday party on New Years Eve after four years. We moved in together and started planning the wedding. I then got pregnant with our little boy. The wedding  planning got put aside while we planned for our new arrival. After a few years of raising our son we started to plan our wedding again."

"We wanted somewhere different with a barn feel. After looking around many places, we couldn't find one with what we wanted in a venue. We had been to a couple of weddings at the South Causey Inn and Laura's sister got married there two years earlier so we knew how good it was. We decided to hold our wedding there, but when we went to book a date it was fully booked. The wedding planner informed us that there was a new barn being built and advised we could book that, so we did!"

Would you reccomend the venue to other couples?

"We would definitely recommend the venue, the wedding organisers were very helpful and always on hand to help with anything we required from them. The venue is immaculate and very clean with great grounds and views!"

What was the highlight of your day and what advice would you give future brides?

"Finally getting the wedding we have wanted after so long and our little boy being part of the day. Relax and enjoy every second as it goes over so fast!"
