REAL WEDDINGS
Stacey and Lee's weekend extravaganza at Shotton Grange
After a holiday spent wondering when Lee would finally pull out a ring and get down on one knee, our crafty groom decided there was only one way to catch bride Stacey off guard. Ask her to marry him at six o’clock in the morning, obvs!
Puffy eyed and sleep deprived, after waking up early for her daughter’s seventh birthday, Lee had the birthday girl lead her mam into another room to find her own present, an empty box.

A SECOND LATER LEE APPEARED AROUND THE CORNER AND GOT DOWN ON ONE KNEE WITH THE RING!

While many brides and grooms find the planning comes with blood sweat and tears, for Stacey it was an absolute breeze.

I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF PLANNING OUR WEDDING AND WOULD DO IT ALL AGAIN ALREADY IF I COULD!

Despite one pandemic and a postponed date later, having this extra time meant Stacey and Lee could save for the day and destination of their dreams to honeymoon to (the Maldives, naturally). But for their special day the secluded serenity of Shotton Grange in Northumberland was tough to beat for this couple.
Nestled in a quaint area of woodland just south of Morpeth, this country manor provided a picture-perfect setting for their timelessly classic theme.
THE DRESS
With tunnel vision on what dress Stacey wanted to say YES to, our Guest List members The Wedding Dress Company, made the magic happen. With rails of stunning gowns that left Stacey spoilt for choice, it wasn’t until a sales assistant pulled out a strapy backless number that Stacey had found THE ONE. And we think she looks incredible!

AS I HAD GONE OVER BUDGET THEY WERE SO LOVELY AND LET ME CHOSE A VEIL FOR NO ADDITIONAL COST!

SNAPPER SPOTLIGHT:
After hours spent scrawling through wedding photographer after wedding photographer, it was just by chance that husband Lee remembered playing football with a photographer called Dan. After putting down his boots and picking up a camera, the super talented Dan Clark became top of Stacey’s book list, and it’s not hard to see why.

HE WAS AMAZING ON THE DAY AND CREATED A WONDERFUL AND RELAXED ATMOSPHERE . WE COULDN’T BE HAPPIER WITH OUR PHOTOS.

Despite initially having had a different videographer booked, after some pre wedding film jitters, Stacey found Claudia from afashionantefilms three months before the big day.

SHE USUALLY HAS JANUARY OFF TO HAVE A BREAK BUT SHE SAID SHE WOULD FILM OUR WEDDING FOR US. I CANT EXPRESS HOW THANKFUL WE ARE SHE SAID YES. EVERYTIME WE WATCH OUR VIDEO, IT’S LIKE WATCHING A FILM.

THE VENUE
Nestled among 6 acres of Northumbrian countryside, as soon as Stacey and Lee arrived at Shotton Grange they knew it was the place they wanted to make it official! Offering a 3 day wedding extravaganza over the weekend, this meant Stacey and Lee could revel a little longer, surrounded by their closest family and friends, in a day they’d spent years dreaming about.

WE RECOMMEND THE VENUE 100%. WE KNEW THE DAY WOULD BE OVER IN A BLINK SO WE WANTED TO MAKE THE MOST OF IT AND STRETCH IT OUT AS LONG AS WE COULD!
