SUPLLIER TURNS BRIDE...
Sprig and Thistle are award-winning North East wedding florists renowned for enigmatic floristry displays and their general love of all things blooming. Therefore it’s only natural that the nuptials of Jess, director and creative stylist at Sprig and Thistle showcased an abundance of her absolute favourite things.
Tying the knot with a gorgeously rustic affair at Lough House Farm in Northumberland, Jess and hubby Dan enjoyed a day filled with botanical brilliance and undone beauty – barn settings, uber cool neons, classical fashion with a modern twist and one hell of an all night party.

THE VENUE
Rustic, quirky and the perfect black canvas for a couple who want to stamp their personality on proceedings, Lough House Farm was the obvious choice for Jess and Dan. With its brick walls, oak beamed ceilings and ambient feels it ticked all the boxes for this couples after party.

MY FAVOURITE MOMENT OF THE DAY WAS SITTING WITH DAN, SCOFFING PIZZA AT 10PM.

STYLED TO SUIT
The ornate vibes of the venue were complemented with a palette of white, green and sage boasting tall undone floral centerpieces, gold candles and foliage spilling over the overhead oak beams. Rustic ambience was ramped up a notch with draped festoon lighting, and as day turned to night, the dance floor filled and guests gathered and milled.
Putting your big day blooms in the hands of someone else can be daunting – especially if you’re an award-winning florist. Jess entrusted Bel’s Flowers and Phillipa’s Flowers to create a captivating floral archway to provide the ultimate dreamy backdrop for Dan and her’s just-outta-church snap – and boy was it worth it.

TO SAY THEY BLEW ME AWAY WOULD BE AN UNDERSTATEMENT. I FINALLY GOT TO EXPERIENCE WHAT MY COUPLES DO – AND IT WAS EVEN BETTER THAN I IMAGINED.

WHAT THEY WORE
Jess complemented her beautiful pearl-edged plunging-V Maggie Sottero gown with a botanical Savin London veil and embellished Badgley Mischka shoes. Dan looked sharp in a Reiss black suit with matching black bowtie.
#BELLELOVES
The pearl studded deep V and waistband of Jess’ Maggie Sottero gown matched her Arianna headpiece perfectly, whilst the subtle botanicals edging her veil added a wonderfully textured bridal look.
