Renowned as one of the most loved hotels in Sunderland, it was no surprise that Glenda and Liam fell head over heels with The Roker Hotel. The couple tied the knot on Roker’s stunning coast back in November 2018.

Glenda searched for the dress of her dreams and after trying on around ten dresses, she finally finding ‘the one’ at Encore Bridal Wear in Sunderland.

THE OUTFITS:

Glenda stepped out in a gorgeous high neck fishtail Morilee dress. The embellished gems scattered the dress giving an extra touch of class and elegance.

Liam was suited and booted in a checkered three piece, finishing his look with a bold red tie and matching pocket square.

THE VENUE:

“It was a local venue which was beautiful and so easy for all our guests to get to.

I stayed over the night before with my bridesmaids so we got to spend time in the hotel getting ready. I would highly recommend this venue as the staff who worked there couldn’t do enough for us,” Glenda said.

The Six Soldier’s Suite was the largest and grandest of their wedding rooms and oozed sophistication and charm, thanks to the statement hanging chandeliers.

The white blossom trees gave a chic and trendy feel, while the rustic chairs added character to the room.

The Roker Hotel promised nothing less than perfection and it definitely did not disappoint.

THE PLANNING:

Glenda said, “The planning went extremely well. I think organisation is key; we made sure we had our to-do lists and worked our way through them. Now the planning is over, we’re a bit lost!”
