Sarah and Craig met through mutual friends, however, it was the mother of the bride who played cupid – offering to pay Craig to take Sarah on a date. What a great offer it was, as nine years later the couple married in a traditional and relaxed celebration in the grand setting of Wynyard Hall, captured by Lee Scullion.

“We didn't have a set theme for the day, we wanted it to be traditional and relaxed. Our main mission for the day was to enjoy every second and for our guests to have a great time.”

“We would absolutely recommend Wynyard Hall for future brides, the service we received was impeccable. Ashleigh was our wedding coordinator - she was so organised with great attention to every detail. She is also very down to earth and was very patient with all the questions we had! Ryan was our master of ceremonies and again he was very laid back - making me feel very relaxed. He even reminded me to breathe before I walked down the aisle! He was at our beck and call all day and was happy to help whenever we needed him.”

“We spent some time looking online at different photographers, but as soon as we met Lee we knew he was 'the one'! We went to meet him for an initial appointment and two hours later we came out a lot wiser about herbal tea and feeling energised by his passion for his work! Leading up to the day he would send messages with instructions making us feel organised and in control. On the morning of the wedding we instantly felt relaxed when we saw him and he had us laughing all day long.”

Advice for other brides and grooms?
“Stay calm! There is so much pressure for your day to be perfect, but if you are stressed or worried you're not going to enjoy it. Every bride I have spoken to has said that they worried about everyone else when really the focus should be on them. Also try to have five minutes to yourself after you've been married to let it sink in a little.”

What was your highlight of the day?
“We both agree that the best part of the day was the moment those doors opened and I walked down the aisle, there is no feeling like it and I wish we could do it all over again.”
