Following the success of her first collection for bridesmaids, North East designer Kate Fearnley will be launching a bespoke bridal service.

Kate says: “I was blown away by the success of the 2011 Bridesmaid dress collection - and then I started to be approached by brides to see if I could help them – they were having challenges finding something off-the-peg that would suit their requirements."

"I was already dressing the bridesmaids and the mothers of the bride and groom, so why not the bride as well? It’s fantastic to be so involved in something so personal and special.”

Because of the demand for bespoke Kate Fearnley designs, the Middlesbrough boutique will now be open by appointment only and the ready-to-wear collection of Kate Fearnley occasion and evening gowns will be available on the other side of Linthorpe Road at Psyche.

“We were becoming so busy with appointments for bespoke prom, bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride dresses at our boutique, that we were overlooking the ladies just wanting to shop!” Kate continues. “This expansion lets the ladies go to Psyche where everything is under one roof, and gives me the chance to concentrate on the bespoke side of the business”.
