North East designer Kate Fearnley ran a competition back in March searching for mothers and daughters to be the faces of her new bridal collection. Not one, but two lucky pairs were selected to star in the shoot at the stunning Grinkle Park Hotel.
Laura Weighill from Marton, Middlesbrough won the competition along with her daughter three year old daughter Lola  and her Mum, Julie Medley. Laura said: "I have worn Kate’s dress before, so it is amazing to be involved in her campaign. It was a real shock to be chosen, as a mum of two I don’t often get the chance to get glammed up!"

Karen Farley and her mum, Susan Farley, both from Cramlington, were also shocked to have been chosen as winners; as Karen had kept the entry a secret from her mum. Susan said: "It was certainly a shock, but we have had such a glamorous day."

As both competition winners happened to be brides-to-be, Laura and Karen both found the day to be a huge inspiration for their own weddings, after being pampered in hair and make-up. Karen, who gets married next month said: "I have absolutely loved today, but it has made me totally change my mind about my whole wedding day look!"
The shoot was styled by a fantastic team of local professionals - Nancy Darcy Hairdressing, All Dolled Up Hairdressing, Zoe Gooding Make-Up, Make up Confidence by Kimberley Rose and Lee Rushworth from Original Photography.
Kate Fearnley also designs a collection of stylish bridesmaid dresses, all modeled here by local girls Beth Dooley, Joy Eaton, Ruby McGhee, Esme McGhee, and Elleanor Ryan.
