After being approached by North East make-up artist Jenny Badrock, photographer Gillian Cross, of Gillian Cross Photography, decided that they should both collaborate together and do a photo shoot.
Once they decided that theme was going to be Afternoon Tea, they chose the gorgeous Kirkley Hall, Northumberland, as the shoot's venue. With it's patio garden and stunning grounds, it was the perfect choice.
"We dressed the table with scones, cupcakes, macaroon and a delicious-looking naked cake. A vintage tea set and crystal glasses were set on hand-stiched tablecloths - one of which is vintage." Gillian told us.

 
 

"One of the table flower arrangements uses a vintage tea cup and crystal cake stand while the other arrangement has pearls draped over a swept photo frame."
 







Hair and make-up was inspired by Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland (naturally!): "The dress is tea length with gorgeous lace detail and the model's hair was kept down with an Alice-band style tiara"
