Award-winning designer and dressmaker, Rebecca (Bex), specialises in up-cycling vintage dresses and crafting gowns that are individually tailored to each and every bride. Inspired by the 1940s, Bex has transformed classic and traditional dresses focusing on modern trends and accessories, making them as 'it' in bridal fashion as they were back then. In her secret attic (which just so happens to be the location of this shoot) you'll find no two dresses the same. It's a hidden gem, one we urge you to discover.




When it comes to bridal beauty, you can't beat a flawless complexion, an iconic winged eye and a ruby red pout. We applaud Madelaine Jane for this look, as it not only complements the theme of this shoot, but it's a look that every (and we mean every) bride suits. Finish with voluminous curls and a victory roll or two by June's Little Vintage Salon, this is definitely for the bride who prefers a more glamorous appearance.





The use of asparagus fern by Flowermaiden is not only authentic of the 1940s era, but also represents the Pantone colour of the year making this look very achievable for modern day brides-to-be.
