The greatly anticipated Big Durham Wedding Show, Durham’s biggest wedding fair, took place on January 20th at Rainton Meadows Arena hosted by our team at Belle Bridal magazine and The Wedding Wonder Show.


Over 750 future-weds came along to the jam-packed arena, reaching record ticket sales, what an amazing day! From glittering bridal gown displays to every single luxe detail, this was indeed an amazing start to our season of events.


Live entertainment and performances had the crowd singing and clapping along on our bespoke stage created especially for this epic show.



The Belle Bridal designer catwalk show was there to inspire brides and the models looked stunning in an array of different styles of gowns and suits. Designer labels included Hayley Paige, Enzoani and House of Mooshki. Headline Models did an amazing job rocking the garments.








From singing waiters to confetti balloons the whole event was a major celebration from start to finish and 120 regional exhibitors had what they described as the best day ever.

The team at Epernay Bridal in Newcastle said: “We thought we would message you to let you know how fantastic we thought the event was. We absolutely loved it and both left on such an adrenaline high! We couldn’t believe how busy it was. It was a huge success.”
A sample sale on the mezzanine gave guests the chance to save up to 60% on gowns and bridesmaid dresses and there was a chance to win a Mooshki Dress.

VIPs enjoyed Prosecco, premium seating, and exclusive treats throughout the day.
Around 800 goodie bags were given out with a wedding notebook and pencils to help plan the special day with jewellery and beauty treats because every bride wants to look and feel their best.
While the whole event was luxurious and beautiful, there was even festival vibes with a glitter station. There was truly something for every bride.
Washington’s Daccs Hair and Beauty Salon was in The Beauty Zone offering free consultations and treatments – a sensational day our for the whole #bridesquad.

Guests shared their excitement and love for the day on social media using the hash tag #wecamehereforlove.



The wedding show really kicked off 2019 in style and we are excited for the many more amazing shows to come.
