Anatomy of a Bride: Megan's Wedding Gown
A bride who knows her own mind, Megan knew exactly how she wanted to look when she walked down the aisle on her special day. We take a look at how she and award-winning designer Kate Fearnley worked together to achieve her beautiful bridal day look.
The Proposal…
When they were in the airport, preparing to come home from a trip to Nice, at the last minute Megan’s-then-boyfriend Gary told her that they wouldn’t be boarding a flight home – but a flight to Paris! Paris has always been a special place to the couple, since they had celebrated Megan’s 21stbirthday and their first trip away there. While standing on their room’s terrace in front of the tower, Gary got down on one knee and asked the question.

The Gown…
After already having an amazing experience with Kate Fearnley when shopping for her perfect prom dress, Megan knew that her dream wedding dress search would begin and end with her. Her bespoke gown showcased the designer’s signature style with tailored flourishes such as lace panelling and intricate beading. The finished look fit the Spanish theme of the wedding beautifully, and the blend of inspirations gave the design which was traditionally pure at its core, a trendy twist; making Megan feel effortlessly feminine, and elegant… with a sprinkle of sass.

Megan’s desire for an almost divine bridal look, came through in the hand-embellished, Mantilla-style veil. Crafted from a single layer of soft tulle, the edges of the veil mirrored the detailing on the gown.
The Handmade Flourish…
From the start, until the final fitting, Megan worked with the designer from a preliminary sketch to create her one-of-a-kind dress. Bringing together an amalgamation of influences – including Kim Kardashians Givenchy gown, and religious aspects to complement the church setting – resulted in the final design of a long, lace sleeved dress, with the classic Kate Fearnley silhouette.
The Shoes…
To complete the look, Megan wore a pair of stunning white, designer Aquazzura heels.
The bridesmaids also completed the all-white look with their stunning gowns.
