Music takes centre stage throughout this epic Belle Bridal SS20 editorial exploring the eclectic and fun spaces at the inimitable Woodhill Hall in Northumberland. Is there really a better nuptial spot for fun, music and laughter?

The Brief

The shoot was to celebrate our love of music, with key songs taking precedence; a rock n’ roll vibe was essential and our love of the disco ball evident throughout.

The Photographer

As one of Belle’s key go-to fashion photographers, Sean nails the brief with a bold use of colour and composition (He was also solely responsible for some of the absolute standout shot ideas!)

About the Venue

Woodhill Hall is the creative couple’s paradise found and the ultimate party venue, sitting smugly in its notoriety as one of the finest ‘Wedding Weekender’ venues in the UK.  Boasting eclectic spaces at every turn – it offers a plethora of cool spots to party, wed, feast and retire, including an on-site Teepee, Secret Bar and ceremony-tastic Orangery.

It was the perfect venue for our music-inspired editorial and we used the Secret Bar and Orangery as key location spots.

About the Gowns

Si Bridal in Newcastle provided the incredible gowns and statement for this shoot. Renowned for their breathtakingly sexy silhouettes, the shoot showcases some of the brand new bridal gowns from Israeli superstar Riki Dalal, a range exclusive to this Newcastle-based boutique.

We also brought in a couple of cool designs from Sanyukta Shrestha, namely Aspen and Arista from the new Autumn Day Dream collection.

Hair and MUA

Lisa Jones created a rock n’roll look for this shoot, her background in fashion editorials and vast experience with Belle Bridal allowing her to nail the shoot vibe effortlessly. Cue bold lip and winged eyeliner.

The Styling Team

Muscari Events created the most beautiful dried flower intallations and even created a vinyl record backdrop (which took ages!) Lavelle Lettering hand painted ‘It’s Friday I’m in Love’ onto velvet.

Styling was finished off with twelve disco balls literally strewn around for effect.
