Amy Maher is the bridal brains behind it all, and having had her first year of trade scuppered by Covid, she is gearing up for a show-stopping 2021…

Tell us how your love of bridal started and your journey to opening your boutique…

I studied a college course on hospitality because I actually wanted to be a chef… Whilst doing my course, I was tasked with organising an event, and after that my path completely changed.

I ended up working in London and then Nottingham as an event and wedding planner in venues. Fast forward 10 years and I was back working in London for one of the world’s largest event and travel management agencies.

After my own wedding in 2018, I felt there was a gap for an experience-led Bridal boutique, and thats where I merged my love of bridal and events into the creation of Bellamme Bridal.

We offer the chance to really enhance the Bridal experience by bringing together moments and memories with those closest to us.

Tell us about your collections

We stock a range of designers from the ultra trendy and instagram sensation Hayley Paige, chic and classic styles from Justin Alexander, jaw-dropping phwoar moments with Elysée gowns and romantic, dance-ready Madi Lane collections.

What’s new for 2021?

We actually only opened in December 2020, so 2021 is bursting with lots of new stunning collections with the FW21 designs just around the corner. April opening brings Spring cocktails, delicious cakes for our VIP experiences and a lot of fun!

Tell us a little about the service a bride receives from you?

We really tailor the experience from the get go. Whether you want a quick and easy online booking solution for your appointment, or you want to chat on the phone, we offer both.

We offer a welcoming start with refreshments and a quick chat before we try on gowns, and from there it's all about offering a transparent service with no hard sales or pressure to commit.

We just want our Brides to walk away knowing they've found their dream gown and made some amazing memories.

What inspires you every day?

Maybe inspired because of covid – but the love, kindness, positivity and human connection are the things that we wake up for....

The warm hugs, smiles, excitement and knowing I can make a difference to someone's life inspires me every day to keep going.
