Leading this charge is Andrey Savin, proud owner and innovative designer of their captivating collections. We sat down with him for Belle Bridal AW20's series of profiles on industry leaders to get to the bottom of this luxury London label.

What’s the best thing about being a bridal designer?

Becoming part of the bride’s journey.

The idea of our designs being worn, photographed, preciously kept afterwards, and then passed through generations, is extremely special. It is a personal privilege to be part of those memories.

Tell us about your design influences for your new collections...

Nature. Floral designs and patterns are carefully re-worked and transferred onto the cloth, making the most beautiful gowns that represent a certain mood, feeling and emotion.

What, if anything, would you say is signature or fluid in all of your bridal designs?

A balance between design, innovation and a certain ease. We create gowns that are so effortless and special, and translate through changing trends.

What’s new from Savin for 2021?

Lots. There is something for all brides and occasions, and we have developed a selection of cathedral veils as well as some tulle capes for dramatic statements.

What fabrics and embellishments do you love to work with?

Screen-printed silks, hand-printed tulles and chantilly laces. Craftsmanship at its best is truly the essence of Savin London.

What would you like to see more of in the bridal industry?

Boldness, creativity and fun. It is our responsibility to drive the industry forward and bring happiness to people.

Where is your happy place?

My Atelier on the day my new fabrics arrive.

My best dresses are made in the middle of the night after my fabrics have arrived, when I’m alone in the studio listening to music, cutting, thinking and dreaming...

How have you grown over the past year and more importantly, what has it taught you?

The value of human interaction and the resilience of our nature. Someone told me that in good times you can build success, but in difficult times you develop character, which has definitely been the case this year.
