A TROPICAL UTOPIA

Introducing The Garden Room, an immersive new space within The Biscuit Factory. We sit down with their wedding coordinator to uncover the beauty of this botanical oasis.

The Biscuit Factory is renowned for its artistic, slightly alternative aesthetic for modern couples. What does The Garden Room bring that’s different?

The Garden Room is a totally unique venue. Inspired by Victorian Winter Gardens to complement the Victorian era of The Biscuit Factory, it’s a living garden full of tropical plants; from huge palms to trailing vines. Skylights bathe the room with light and sunshine, making it feel like a tropical oasis in the heart of the city whilst the indoor waterfall brings a calming atmosphere.

THE FINISH IS CONTEMPORARY, WITH ELEGANT TOUCHES LIKE HUGE GOLDEN CHANDELIERS HANGING FROM THE TREBLE- HEIGHT CEILINGS.

What inspired you to create this space?

We wanted to offer couples an option of a stunning and unique backdrop without leaving the City, something completely different with all the benefits of a central, easily accessible location.

Walk us through a wedding at The Garden Room in 5 steps...

1. Guests will arrive to The Garden Room’s own private entrance; set back from the street with a sunken, covered outdoor terrace where they’ll enter into the reception lounge.

2. Guests will be led through into The Garden Room itself for the ceremony and experience the full ‘Wow Factor’!

3. Couples will say their vows with the backdrop of our indoor water feature, before returning with their guests into the lounge for their drinks reception.

4. The wedding breakfast will then be served in The Garden Room, with festivities continuing under the stars.

How will the Garden Room sit alongside your existing suites, and how will they compliment each other?

The Garden Room sits between Artisan and The Biscuit Room to accommodate weddings of between 70 and 120 guests; so more intimate celebrations can enjoy the atmosphere of artisan, whilst larger gatherings have the luxury of space in The Biscuit Room. The suites can be booked individually or as a collective for larger, free-flowing weddings.
