AMV Live Music: Survival Guide

AMV Live Music

Your wedding is the biggest party you’ll ever throw, so you need to make sure it goes off with a bang. Among the #wedmin chaos, live entertainment is often overlooked and it’s actually one of your biggest priorities as it effects all your guests and – let’s face it – everyone remembers a good party!

The award-winning AMV Live Music has been bridging the gap between happy couples and the best wedding entertainment for more than seven years, and they understand that with the right band, or artist, your evening can leave an everlasting impression. To ensure your reception is more hip hop than flop, these industry experts have compiled a simple Entertainment Survival Guide…

1, Too Much Choice!
There’s so much choice when booking a band or wedding entertainment, how do you sort the wheat from the chaff? AMV Live Music artists are already auditioned, tried and tested in an intense vetting process to ensure only the best musicians make it onto our books, and into your wedding plans!

We’ve got a fabulous selection of rock and pop bands, as well as acoustic artists, solo singers, swing and jazz groups, DJs and classical musicians too!

2, Emails Everywhere.
We’d wager the vast majority of your wedding plans are in reams of email threads that span on for months. There’s no such problem when booking with AMV. At point of enquiry, you’re given a unique username and password to a booking dashboard with all the information you need, from your prices to your set timings, artists you’re enquiring about to specific song requests, as well as our secure payment portal.

3, Dashboard Saviour
Your email stresses only multiply when you’re thinking of maybe booking a harpist for your reception, solo singer for your ceremony and DJ for your evening guests, or even just wanting a few prices from each. All aspects of your daytime and evening music can be accessed from your AMV dashboard. You can send your DJ song requests, while also comparing prices for ceremony music, and even request prices for bands, all at once!

4, What Happens On The Day?
With our booking system all the information, including the finer details are visible to the client, the band, and ourselves, so we’re all on the same page. We also offer insurance with every booking, so if someone is struck down with tonsillitis, you’ll never be left hanging.

5, Are We Paying Too Much? (Or Too Little?)
When you enquire with AMV we send your request out to your “wish list” of artists, who all come back with availability, set lengths and bespoke pricing for your date and venue. You then can see clearly the price range you’re working with and can simply choose the best option for you.

6, What About Our First Dance?
Nothing worse than trying to speak ‘muso’ when the band are asking what key, tempo and dynamics you want for your first dance. You don’t want to be walking onto the dancefloor more nervous than you already might be. At AMV we’re all musicians ourselves, so can get all the musical details arranged for you with ease.

7, How Do We Know What They’re Going To Play?
If you don’t want your band to clear the dancefloor with a soppy ballad halfway, or the DJ leaving your granny to be horrified by breaking out Bloodhound Gang’s ‘Bad Touch’, then it’s important to know what you’re getting. On our AMV Booking System you can quickly pull up the band’s set list and add a note to the band asking them to play your favourite tracks, or to omit any you can’t stand!
