INTRODUCTION
When entrepreneurs Sally and David Mallender found sourcing a marquee for their own 2012 wedding difficult, they decided to remedy the problem for other couples, by setting up their own
innovative stretch tent company. Countryside Events is now one of the leading suppliers of stretch tent companies in the UK; with a customer base as diverse as its tent range.
A Pitch Like No Other
Their stretch tents can be bought - or hired - in a whole host of different sizes and configurations, from 6m x 8m tents, 10m x 15m tents right up to 15m x 30m in size.
These amazing structures can be added onto the side of existing buildings – adding extra space or built to house a festival-style wedding party in the middle of a field, or indeed to complement any style of wedding theme! Sides can be added in colder months and taken away to let the warm air circulate in the summer months - the options are absolutely endless.

This means lighting and flooring costs are included and everything is handled in-house. Tents come in a variety of colours and a full bespoke consultancy service is included in the price.
Why Choose A Stretch Tent?
Unlike a traditional pole marquee tent, a stretch tent is a ‘free form’ structure. The tent itself is a single square or rectangular piece of bespoke fabric. The fabric is rigged by pushing poles of various heights into the fabric under tension, and the poles are then pegged into place. Once the poles are removed, the specialised fabric automatically maintains its original shape.
No messy roof structures or need for expensive lining, instead a super cool shape resulting in so much more versatility and more often than not, space. This means that a single tent can be rigged in a variety of configurations, depending on the event requirement or venue.
