Get to Know Gabriella:

Growing up in Redcar with a mixing bowl on lap and a spoon and mixture in her mouth (she’s a girl after our own hearts), Gabriella Grace Rottiers looked destined to make it as a baker.

However, her creative streak took her to London to pursue a career in acting, and it wasn’t until she was in the big smoke that she rekindled her love and passion for baking.

Self-taught with the occasional class from leading UK cake designers, she soon learnt new skills and turned her hobby of baking for family and friends into a blossoming business, being inundated with requests, enquiries and orders for her sweet treats.

But for Gabriella, home was always where the heart was, and she returned to her native North East in 2016 to carry on her baking back home.

Sweet Style:

Supplying across the North East, Gabriella is in her absolute element when constructing jaw-dropping cakes.

Specialising in wedding and ‘occasion’ cakes with a modern, elegant and artistic flair, her designs are divinely fashion-forward and encapsulate her desire to please people through picture-perfect pieces of artistry.

Signature Slice:

Gabriella Grace Cakes have four layers of luxurious, light and fluffy sponge and three layers of decadent filling, reaching up to five inches in height as standard.

Commonly covered in indulgent Belgian chocolate ganache and encased in Carma Massa Ticino fondant with sculpted sharp edges, they convey a modern, chic and sophisticated look that almost seems too good to eat (almost).

And when it comes to details, Gabriella pulls no punches. Her inherent dedication to the craft means she hand-makes all of the decorations – even the intricate sugar flowers, which can take her up to three hours to perfect. Blooming impressive!
