knew about wedding gowns – Melanie, owner of TCOTCB, has poured her heart into handpicking a selection of dresses that strive to prove that traditional doesn’t always mean trendy. Friendly. stylish and just a tad quirky, your dream gown will be hiding in the cosy climbs of this delightful Northumberland bolthole, with luxury fabrics and daring designs at your beck and call.
Taking a slightly off-the-beaten track approach to the bridal buying process, The Case of the Curious Bride offers a range of relaxed and contemporary styles that celebrate your unique self.
Headed up by chief stylist, designer-manager and owner Melanie, the boutique is a product of her unerring interest in design.
The ambition to go into bridal was catalysed by the needs of brides contacting her through her accessory brand who were struggling to find reasonably priced dresses that reflected their personalities, a need that she was already too familiar with from her own and friends' wedding dress quests.
So, she found a shop, adorned it with vintage-upcycled awesomeness (or as she says, 'Melanised' the joint!), carefully curated dress styles from ethical sources and The Case of the Curious Bride was born.
