When it comes to fashion we like to keep ahead of the trends and take bridal inspiration from across the globe, so that our regional brides remain at the forefront of bridal fashion. You’ll often find our team tearing up the cobbles of capitals, including London and Barcelona, fitting in as many catwalk shows, interviews and backstage visits as possible, so that our brides are always in the know.
The latest in fashion was New York Bridal Fashion Week 2018, which saw some of the top designers in bridal unveil their new collections. Since we keep our finger firmly on the fashion pulse we’re sharing some of our favourite designs and highlights from the week. Take a look and say hello to the new season of bridal…
Madeline Gardner formally kicked off the week with her beautiful 35-piece Spring 2019 collection. Lovingly named ‘Secret Garden’ this new collection is inspired by the delicate botanical shapes and details, and is a combination of exquisite laces that have been sculpted into glamorous new silhouettes.
Delicate beaded details that add a sun-kissed glistening glow, create depth and dimension to lush layers of soft, rose petal hues. Explore the hidden treasures each unique gown has to offer, enveloped in new lightweight and ethereal fabrics.
“The dreamiest of collections, designed to embrace the spirit of each and every bride and highlight her natural beauty.” – Madeline.
‘Till Dance Do Us Part’ is the brand new 2019 collection from Rime Arodaky, which explores the depths and effects of movement within a flaming connection between two lovers. We absolutely love the use of fabrics in this collection and how the designs push the boundaries of bridal fashion. Pretty and sophisticated with an urban edge. Gowns with serious style and attitude.
Look beyond what meets the eye; the Anne Barge fall 2019 bridal collection is full of mystery and surprise. Past the clean, graphic lines of the collection lies layers of rich detail and meticulous craftsmanship. This season, inspiration is taken from perspective photography, with each dress open to interpretation based on the viewer’s lens.
The strong, architectural, silhouettes of the gowns are accented by ethereal floating layers of embroidered illusion tulle, silk organza and abstract floral jacquard. Structural, minimalist pieces are given a soft touch of feminism with tulle ruffles, pearl accented beading and embroidery, and cascading soutache bows. The simple sophistication of the fall 2019 designs paired with whimsical elements of surprise delivers a romantic collection with a modern-day twist.
The Gracy Accad bridal collection draws inspiration from the Greek Muses — The nine goddesses who embody the arts and endowed inspiration. “They are the personification of literature, music, visual arts and science. Through this collection, I sought to represent their influence, whether through sheer feats of craftsmanship or dramatic re-embroidered laces. Frothy gowns of Italian tulle move like the romantic whisper of a poem, while silk taffeta coats billow as if aerated by a soprano’s bravura.” — Gracy Accad.
