Story of the Shoot...
After all this past year has brought, the pull of gathering all your loved ones in an intimate, cosy comforting venue to stay a while and celebrate your wedding is ever-growing.
Tapping into this trend, Barolin Farm – a family-ran estate in North Yorkshire – will be opening its doors for exclusive use weddings next March, boasting beautiful grounds, a charming farmhouse and boatloads of nuptial inspiration for couples seeking a real idyllic venue away from the wider world.
This shoot, put together by Natasha Jane Events, is the perfect snapshot at what couples can expect from the north’s newest rustic hotspot and the latest place to join the Belle Bridal Venue Guest List.

Here, Natasha talks us through how it all came together, from knockout suppliers to the little luxury details.
The Brief
I was approached by Hannah at Barolin to put together a styled shoot to show off their beautiful new marquee within their walled garden, as well as the stunning grounds it sits on. The brief had a classic colour palette of creams, greens and a hint of blush to show couples what could be created when they choose a wedding at Barolin.

WE BROUGHT TOGETHER AN AMAZING TEAM OF SUPPLIERS WHO REALLY BROUGHT THEIR A GAME.
NATASHA, THE STYLIST
Photography by Jane Beadnell who captured the day perfectly in her romantic, timeless and elegant way, accompanied by Your Story Films who created the most gorgeous video.
Flower Power
Working with the brief, we created beautiful spring garden florals to compliment the gorgeous grounds using a floral aisle runner and a gorgeous floral chandelier to hang from the marquee ceiling. Lower table centres of fresh florals and candlelight below, finished with timeless crockery from Whitehouse Crockery helped to create the perfect wedding dining atmosphere.
We made two bridal bouquets containing stunning David Austin roses, white parrot tulips, anenomes, astilbe and blossom, finished with exquisite silk ribbons by Bertie & Fred. We also created a floral archway over the garden door to add a fun photo opportunity couples could re-create.
The Luxe Details
Where The Ribbon Ends provided three delicious cakes of different heights finished with fresh flowers as a more modern approach to the usual three tier wedding cake.
BELLE LOVES
A beautiful spread of barbecue-style summer food which would be the perfect grazing setup for a marquee reception. Salt-stricken crispy hatchback potatoes? Yes please.

Stationary came from JBC Wedding Stationery who created a beautiful stationary set with a pretty flower wrap with wax seal. Delicate flowers, soft pinks and gorgeous fonts met the brief perfectly.
Fashion Forward
For the fashion? In stepped the fabulous Harrogate Wedding Lounge, with accessories by The Bobby Pin and suit hire from Haworth Menswear, modelled beautifully by real life husband and wife ‘The Foxtons’. Hair and makeup was by Claire Alexandra who created three looks to show a day-to-night look that is ever-popular with brides.
Barolin has just applied for its ceremony license in the main house, but couples can also opt for a church service or bring in the wonderful Penelope Jane who is a wedding celebrant, adding a more personal touch to your special day."
