Natural Beauty
Hollie from M and G Wedding Photography talks about how she became involved in the shoot:
“When I am photographing a wedding day, I have a very natural style. No posing and no staging – I just capture real moments. However I also love getting involved in editorial style photography and particularly, styled shoots. It’s great to work creatively with other wedding suppliers. We are based in Yorkshire and know the dresses from Ghost Orchid Bride really well and I absolutely love their style.

THE MODELS ZARA AND ALEX ARE A REAL LIFE COUPLE AND I PHOTOGRAPHED THEIR WEDDING DAY, SO THEY REALLY DIDN'T NEED ANY POSING!
HOLLIE, M AND G WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
I captured this shoot using my usual natural and really relaxed style, we just went for a walk around the cobbled streets of the Old Town of Hull. It was such a fun shoot to be involved with”

Fun Fashion
Katey from Ghost Orchid Bride organised the shoot, and explains what makes her bridal boutique and their dresses used in the shoot so special:
“We are a fashion-focussed, yet relaxed bridal showroom based in Yorkshire, curating a varied collection of some of the most sought-after independent labels from across the globe. We want our brides to feel at ease with us and to have a great time finding an exciting outfit that really reflects who they are.”
Gown Goals
Imogen is an exclusive bonus gown from And For Love’s latest Picnic at Hanging Rock 2020 collection. And For love are Ghost Orchid’s beloved Canadian designer, who create some of the most bad-ass bridal outfits we’ve ever seen.
Designer and creative director Angel Spendlove isn’t afraid to break the bridal mould and her effortless take on bridal certainly appeals to the cool bride who wants to make an impact without too much fuss. Imogen is a fully sequinned in their signature micro-sequin, an optional bell sleeve, sweeping train and one of Katey’s favourite statement backs.

“Little secret? We could even add some fringing to bring this dress to the next level.” – Katey
With the Victoria, And For Love bring the two-piece bridal trend which we have been feeling over the past few years, into 2020. With a flattering off-the-shoulder neckline and playful ruffle statement sleeves, this co-ord is perfect for fashion-forward brides who aren’t afraid to stand out and just want to party on their wedding day.

Next, Ghost Orchid’s San Franciscan designer Daughters of Simone was showcased in all its bohemian beauty with the Kathryn gown from their latest Come Hell or High Water 2020 collection.

Think running bare foot through hazy fields of daisies and you’re on the right track. A flowing tiered gown with a flattering relaxed Bardot neckline and a supportive bodice for extra support, this dress just oozes fun.
“As if this dress isn’t brilliant enough as it is? The Kathryn gown also turns into the most darling mini dress. I know, right?” – Katey
Last but not least is Autumn by Chosen by One Day, a contemporary take on the classic 90s slip dress.
If you’re a bride glued to instagram and Pinterest for wedding inspiration, we can guarantee you will have spotted some of Chosen’s mesmerising gowns and two pieces. Autumn, with her sultry draping cowl neck and low back, that Kate Moss herself would envy, is a celebration of the female form, proving that less really can be more.

“The subtle and clever positioning of the straps, with the long sweeping train and super flattering fabric, elevates the Autumn gown from a simple chic wedding gown to total showstopper.” – Katey (Slip dress)
Floral Finesse
Floral and Lace talk about the inspiration behind her beautiful bouquet:
“I wanted to use a mix of dried floral goodness and fresh flowers. The colour pallet had a soft jewel tone that worked so well with all the unique dresses and jewellery by Ghost Orchid. We also created a dainty and soft buttonhole for the groom. We kept it minimal and light, using only dried materials.
PETAL PICKS:
I used pink proteas, broom and fresh amnesia roses with a mix of bleached ruscus, helichrysum and dried palms. We also created a dried floral spray that we attached on to the bridal hat. We loved this look and flower recipe. Perfection!”
