Belle Bridal AW19: Lartington Hall, Candy Pop
Photographed by North East Wedding Photographer, Emily Hannah Photography and featuring some of the regions most admired creatives, bursts of pastel colours along with a bubble gum bride, was the order of the day. With the newest gowns from Alan Hannah’s, Moonshadow 2020 Collection, this styled shoot was held at the heart-stoppingly beautiful venue, Lartington Hall.

Decadent balloon elements created an ‘Alice Through the Looking Glass’ style, with giant helium balloons providing heavenly scenes throughout the halls of this grand venue. A latest trend in wedding styling, the balloon hoop, created an interesting dynamic to the space, boasting a fairy-tale-like quality when paired with these stunning Alan Hannah gowns.

Timeless and elegant, this gorgeous destination, renowned for its exquisite interiors, extensive gardens and exclusive chapel, transformed into a kaleidoscopic backdrop filled to burst with colourful balloons from Imaginarium Balloon Studio and eye-catching blooms from Flori and Fern.

Anna, Flori and Fern - “The vision was to showcase playful, soft romantic florals which emulated the size and bubbling structures of pretty pastel balloons and powdery sugar-craft.”
Large Verena Hydrangea’s featured intermittently throughout the botanical arrangement, while their huge pom-pom-like heads added texture, structure and an element of fun. Garden style roses from VIP Roses were placed in luxurious abundance in varieties including ‘Chiffon’ ‘Prince Jardinier’ and ‘Victorian Dream’.

Scattered throughout the large headed blooms were smaller spray rose varieties of Pink Bombastic, Sweet Akito and the beautifully perfumed Majolika, as well as heavy scented Matthiola and lavender blue delphiniums. The paper-like petals of Sweet Peas delicately floated from installation to table, adding a whimsical element and the sweetest fragrance to the ethereal candy dream.
The rainbow of colours was carried right through to the make-up, with striking eye shadows and green eyeliner, allowing the crisp white gowns and accessories to stand out.

“I really wanted to bring a glossy, radiant and smooth skin together with a high fashion twist of aqua blue, fresh mint green on the eyes and warm coral baby pink hues on the cheeks and lips.” – Amanda Bell, Make-up Artist
Inspired by Tokyo’s Harajuku Girls, with their playful make-up colours and styles, Amanda mixed together shades of aqua, blue and white to add tie-dye graphic lines to the model’s eyes, extending and exaggerating the shape. Perfectly flushed lips and cheeks were highlighted using a mix of white, peach, bright pink and hints of gold.

Using Kenra products, hair stylist, Tina Elliot created a polished ultra lux look, complementing the vibe of the rest of the models ensemble, to create a perfectly blended overall look.

Continuing to make this candy dream even sweeter, Sadie May Cakes made a pastel coloured cake and dainty treats, which matched the cascading, ombre veil from Bex Brides.
Grumbleduke Events brought all of the elements from these expert suppliers together to create this collaboration like no other.

“So many shoots at Lartington Hall showcase the classical beauty of the venue, we wanted to shoot the space from a thoroughly modern perspective.” – Danielle, Assistant Stylist

When curating the shoot, Lartington Hall’s effortless elegance lent itself to an explosion of chic. The plethora of colour brought out a different side to the neutral colour palette, resulting in this beautiful candy pop affect and stunning shoot.
