Where fashion, fire, and ice collide

There’s something undeniably magical about bringing bridal fashion into a lush, living landscape — where glass ceilings filter soft daylight and candlelight flickers against tropical greenery. One of Issue 29's Belle BRidal shoots, Wild Palm, was a celebration of modern romance set against the breathtaking backdrop of The Garden Room at The Biscuit Factory in the heart of Newcastle.

A Botanical Dreamscape

Tucked inside one of the North East’s most iconic creative venues, The Garden Room provided the perfect setting for a fashion-forward bridal story. Cascading vines, sculptural palms, and dramatic foliage created a rich, textural contrast to the softness of silk, lace, and tulle. The atmosphere felt intimate yet editorial — like stepping into a secret glasshouse where contemporary bridal style blooms.

Crystal chandeliers glowed above reflective floors, while clusters of pillar candles added warmth and depth. Clear acrylic chairs and minimalist styling allowed the gowns — and the setting — to truly shine.

The Dresses: Modern Femininity in Bloom

This editorial brought together statement designs from Wona Concept at Accent Original and Rara Avis at Pearl & Eve Bridal, showcasing silhouettes that balance structure with softness.

We featured:

Sculpted corsetry paired with delicate lace sleeves for a refined, couture feel.
Clean, architectural bodices flowing into full skirts for the modern minimalist bride.
Ethereal veils and flowing capes that caught the light beautifully beneath the glass ceiling.
Figure-hugging satin gowns styled with bold accessories for confident, contemporary elegance.

Each look embodied a different interpretation of modern femininity — strong yet romantic, bold yet effortlessly graceful.

Beauty & Styling: Soft Strength

Hair and makeup were kept fresh and luminous, allowing natural features to take centre stage. Sleek, straight styles and soft movement complemented the structured gowns, while statement earrings and delicate gloves elevated the editorial edge.

Florals leaned into the wild botanical aesthetic — organic shapes, layered greenery, and subtle textural details rather than traditional bouquets. The result was cohesive, elevated, and distinctly fashion-forward.
