Autumnal Adoration

DATE 19 November 2018

It’s that time of year when we are drawn to the earthy allure of autumnal colours and photoshoots. Today’s curated feature is absolutely beautiful, an editorial designed to showcase the chameleonic aesthetic of Woodhill Hall - from the light open space of The Orangery to the rustic beauty of its tipis - and its surrounding landscape - its unique ability to be the ultimate wedding venue for all seasons. Shot on location by Sean Elliott Photography.

Styling for this incredible display of images was by Fiona Winn of The Great British Bash

“Our exclusive Fall in Love Collection, with its full range of handpicked items was the perfect starting point. We created the magical atmosphere of a Fall Forest, complete with turning leaves, mist and fairies. We wanted our huge Lunar Arch to look overgrown, like something you'd stumble across in an enchanted forest. We dressed it with rambling branches, berries and autumn foliage, using our favourite faux flowers and foliage; it’s what we specialise in. Our love of silk flowers is evident and working with these allows us the artistic freedom to create truly wonderful stylescapes. To bring the woods indoors, we planted the aisle in the Orangery at Woodhill Hall with a blaze of fall colours and scattered it with autumn leaves for a walk in the woods feel.

"We created all the bouquets, the flower crowns, corsages, and even a ‘bag-quet ‘ - our bouquet in a vintage crocodile handbag. In keeping with the mystical theme, we dressed our three-tiered chocolate cake with sprouting leaves and blossoms like something from a fairy bower. This whole collection is available to hire.”

Gowns were handpicked from Accent Original Bridalwear in Newcastle. “I chose a few gowns from our more bohemian and modern collections, namely Blue by Enzoani, White April and Q’Nique. I feel these add an air of modernity and are really popular gowns from this season. Our 2019 collection - as seen in this shoot - feature some seriously stylish gowns with statement details. All the gowns featured in this shoot are also so reasonably priced and unique to us.”

Hair artistry for this shoot was by Lisa Jones Hair and Makeup. Make-up was quite natural with a smoky eye to highlight the red hair and accentuate the surrounding greenery. Hair was kept loose and flowing, as the red hair was a main focus of this editorial. Hair crowns added an ethereal look and texture.
