REAL WEDDING

READ THE ROMANCE

A post-ceremony romantic wander, garden drinks, dinner overlooking the rolling hills and late night dance floor forays. We approve, let us grab our wellies.

It was hosted at the incredible new rustic luxe haven that is The Bosk, a privately-owned wedding destination boasting onsite accommodation, catering, leisure facilities and unmatched serenity. Hidden deeply in the Northumbrian countryside with Branton ponds at its foot and a spectacular glass-fronted space, Simon and Camilla chose well.

Both being from farming backgrounds it was always going to be a rural celebration for these two. With the venue’s owner Kim a good friend of Camilla’s (and actually her bridesmaid on the day!) not much was stopping them from hosting the wedding of their dreams, surrounded by those they love most.

THE BOSK IS A BEAUTIFUL VENUE AND HAS FACILITIES TO MAKE IT FEEL LIKE A MINI BREAK, NOT JUST A ONE DAY WEDDING.

MY BRIDAL PARTY STAYED THE NIGHT BEFORE IN THE COTTAGES AND HAD A LOVELY RELAXING MORNING GETTING READY.

SIMPLE SOPHISTICATION:

Camilla was the first bride to buy a dress from new hip and heavenly bridal hangout, and Belle Bridal Signature Stockist, Sisters of Grace. Helped by their styling team who listened to what styles she liked, Camilla stepped out in a gorgeously simplistic gown with cap sleeves and soft draping skirt.

Q&A

How did Simon pop the question?

On a lovely dog walk on the 20th November 2020 at St Cuthbert’s Cross in Alnmouth. It was his birthday, believe it or not!

Out of 10, how involved was he in the planning process? (answer honestly!)

Six, Simon was very easy going and agreed with most of my plans. He got involved in picking the menu and canapés!

What was your first dance song?

Came here for Love, Sigala

Honeymoon plans?

After the wedding we stayed at Low Wood Bay, Windermere, which was lovely. We are doing a little bit of a whistle-stop tour of the US for our proper honeymoon - New Orleans, Memphis, Nashville, Tulum and New York. We can’t wait!

Biggest word of advice to newly engaged couples?

ENJOY THE PLANNING, DO NOT LET YOURSELF GET OVERLY STRESSED. THE DAY IS SO SPECIAL BUT IT GOES SO QUICK, SO ENJOY THE PROCESS.
