THE STORY
A Bride’s Perspective…
We sat down with Rebecca to chat through the details of her dream day.
So how did you meet Ian?
We met online officially but we first met in London on the South Bank. I was living there and Ian was cycling around the county, he turned up looking very casual and I turned up a looking a little tipsy.
How did he pop the question?
The day we finally moved into our new house, it was very romantic just the two of us, even though the heating was broken and we were freezing. Ian designed my ring himself and based it on a very sentimental ring of mine that was gifted to me by my grandma.

How did you find the planning process?
I work in a wedding shop so I found the dress process hard, I was seeing newness everyday and also feeling tempted by other styles. I also used to be a dress designer myself so I had a lot of ideas going on!
The other aspects of wedding planning was really fun, I make my own stationery so I enjoyed creating the artwork- a lot of them we have up in our house now. Our venue was so beautiful it didn’t take much dressing, I used Jones and Jones flowers and they absolutely nailed the brief. I couldn’t have been happier with them!
THE VENUE
Why Le Petit?
We had originally been looking at French Chateaux’s but with covid we were struggling to get over for viewing. We also love holidaying in Greece, so had considered a Greek wedding. Funnily enough, Le Petit served us a Greek platter as our wedding feast, so we ended up with the best of both worlds! Also being more local it meant Ian’s grandparents came, which was really important to us both.
LA BELLE EPOQUE (CHAPEL ROOM) AND THE MEDITERRANEAN STYLE GARDENS COMPLETELY STOLE OUR HEARTS. THE WHOLE VIBE WAS SPOT ON, I WOULD 100% RECOMMEND LE PETIT TO ANY OTHER COUPLES. REBECCA, THE BRIDE
What flowers did you go for, and why?
I had all all ivory flowers. They were a mixture of roses, hydrangeas, gypsophila and lilies. I couldn’t have been happier with them.

THE FASHION
Talk us through *that* dress!
As soon as I saw a picture of my dress on Galia Lahav’s Instagram I knew I had to try it. I think I knew it was my dress before I even tried it! I was super comfy all day and having my hair all back was the best decision. I have very long thick hair and it’s always in the way, it was so good to have it out of my way. My dress was like a second skin, it fitted so well and was so dreamy!
I had detachable sleeves which I was so excited to take off as I love the look without them.
I did have a second dress for evening but I didn’t even get around to wearing it. I was having such a good time the day and night just disappeared, and I just didn’t even think to change.
THE MENU
Greek Platter with a mixture of Grecian delights including Moussaka, Greek Salad, Chicken Souvlaki.
Bespoke Bramble Cocktail
QUICKFIRE Q&A
How did you feel as you walked down the aisle?
Very nervous, it’s a surreal experience, it’s the one moment for me that’s just so emotional. I remember seeing Ian at the end of the Aisle and he looked so gorgeous, I had missed him not being able to see him the night before – I was just happy that we could now share the day together.

What’s your funniest memory from the day?
The bouquet toss! We threw it so many times mine was completely destroyed. All the kids had a turn. I laughed and smiled so much all day that my face hurt by about 8pm.

If you could bottle one special moment of your day to keep forever and relive whenever you needed it most, what would that moment be?
I don’t know why this one comes to mind so quick, but it was when myself and Ian had just walked back down the aisle as husband and wife and I heard our son shout “Mummy Pugh”. He used to always call Ian Daddy Pugh and said they had “pugh power”, and I was now a Pugh! Family means everything to us so that was just so cute.
First dance song?
Higher love by James Vincent. We remixed it with Whitney.
Sum up your whole wedding experience in three words.
Unbelievable, Romantic, dreamy
Honeymoon destination?

Biggest word of advice to newly engaged couples?
JUST ENJOY EVERY SINGLE MOMENT. IT REALLY DOES GO BY QUICK. REBECCA, THE BRIDE
