This wedding was all about the aesthetic. From the sun-kissed setting of Healey Barn as the day turned to night, to the gorgeous green foliage and billowing bridal ballgown, tradition was given a contemporary twist by a group of well-loved northern suppliers – two of which are exhibiting at the Northern Wedding Show next February. ENGINEERING THEIR FOREVER
Rosie and Alex first met in 2014 whilst working at Nissan in Sunderland. The wheels really got in motion in October 2020, as following the huge challenges of lockdown, Alex knew Rosie was the one and he popped the question whilst on a walk around Ullswater with her family.
Fast forward nearly two years, and this dreamy duo got the day they’d always wished for – a sensational summer day at Rosie’s home town St Andrews in Corbridge, followed by a fabulous evening at renowned rustic luxe hotspot, Healey Barn.
The style was relaxed and flowed freely with an abundance of greenery and beautiful white florals, complimenting the tradition and character of the church as well as this pair’s down to earth approach to life.
I’D DREAMT OF THIS DAY SINCE BEING A LITTLE GIRL, AND IT WAS EVERYTHING I HAD WISHED FOR AND MORE. I LOVED PLANNING IT. ALEX ON THE OTHER HAND… HIS ONLY INVOLVEMENT WAS PICKING THE SUIT – AND TURNING UP ON THE DAY!

BELLE OF THE BALL
Rosie wowed in a classic-contemporary ballgown from Northern Wedding Show and Belle Bridal Guest List boutique, The Wedding Dress Company. Renowned for their impeccable service, owner Sarah worked with Rosie to uncover her dream style – with luckily one of the first dresses she tried on.
Despite being the hottest day of the year, Rosie said her Stella York gown felt ‘light’ and comfortable all day long – and didn’t she wear it with aplomb?
PLANNED TO PERFECTION
When it came to the wedding prep and on-the-day organisation, there was only one woman for the job. Rosie enlisted the help of esteemed new northern planner The Wedding Taylor, aka Hannah, who made the whole process an absolute breeze for this beaming bride and her groom.
