Set amidst 200 acres of rural North Yorkshire, this hidden gem, Middleton Lodge, offered Abi and Alex a romantic wedding day like no other.
Young and in love, the couple first met when they were just 16 years old. Abi and Alex always dreamt of their perfect day as “beautiful in every way in a relaxing and natural environment”.
The happy couple tied the knot at the beautifully restored wedding venue, The Fig House, at Middleton Lodge.
With stunning floor-to-ceiling views across the Walled Garden and a picture perfect backdrop, The Fig House promised Abi and Alex a wonderfully romantic wedding day.
Styled with real fig trees and garden antiques, stone archways and wooden features this 18thcentury country estate added the wow factor.
After originally wanting to get married in a barn, Abi said: “We booked a viewing at Middleton Lodge and fell in love immediately – this was the first venue we looked at and it ticked all the boxes.
The venue is stunning and the service is amazing. We were made to feel so special on our big day and nothing was too much to ask – we would highly recommend Middleton Lodge.”
Abi said: “I found my wedding dress shopping experience surprisingly easy, I picked my dress at the first shop I went to! The shop was amazing, I told them everything I loved and they knew the exact dress for me to try and it’s the one I chose!
An Enzoani bride – Abi wore a gorgeous figure-hugging gown with low-cut back and scattered lace detailing. This stunning dress oozed beauty and sophistication as Abi walked down the aisle surrounded by her family and friends.
Her wedding dress, from Scarlett Poppy Bridal Boutique, was complemented by her pretty-in-pink blushing bridesmaid dresses.
The Bride’s Advice:
“Enjoy every minute on your big day, cliché but it goes by so fast. Try your best to take five minutes out together to just take the day in.”
