After signing up to an online dating website, Nicole never thought that her love for Harry Potter would lead her to meeting her future husband.

Nicole and Mark spoke online, before meeting up around a week later where they made an instant connection.

Five years later, their wedding dreams came true when they tied the knot at the stunning venue, Acklam Hall.

Having a wedding with a modern and contemporary feel was important for both Nicole and Mark. They focused on classic colours and gave it that all-important Harry Potter twist, adding that extra touch of magic to their special day.

The Venue:

Set in heart of North Yorkshire, this historic Restorian mansion, Acklam Hall, played home to the wedding of Nicole and Mark.
 
A hidden gam - Acklam Hall promised the couple a day they would cherish forever, with their exquisite grounds and romantic setting.

Nicole – “Before Mark even proposed to me, I knew that if we ever got married it would be at Acklam Hall, as I instantly fell in love with it’s charm and breath taking interior. The grounds are beautiful and make a perfect venue for a wedding.

The grand spaces within Acklam Hall boasted aesthetic beauty like no other - complete with stunning centrepieces, classic colours and hanging chandeliers.

The Dress:

“I tried on lots of dresses before finding ‘the one’. The whole experience was amazing from start to finish and was a very special day to share with my mum.

My dress was everything I wanted. I loved the Swarovski crystals that lined the plunge back and my short, but full veil completed the look.” - Nicole

Simple yet stunning, Nicole wore a beautiful Maggie Sottero dress, embellished in crystal detailing. This gorgeous figure hugging, sleeveless gown oozed elegance and class, like no other.

The Bride’s Advice:

“Take in every moment of your special day. Don’t worry about others, as your day is all about you. The day foes to fast but it really is the most amazing day of your life.

Make sure you choose the right photographer – your photos are the memories of your wedding day and it is important to choose someone who you connect with and who’s photos you fall in love with.”
