High school sweethearts Kim and Thomas tied the knot in the beautiful setting of Acklam Hall surrounded by friends and family on the October 14th 2017. Captured by Helen Russell Photography, this wedding is filled with pastel touches and plenty of pretty details.

After growing up in the area, there was no place more fitting for Kim and Thomas to say “I do” than Acklam Hall. “We just felt it was the ideal place for the wedding as it felt more personal to us. We can’t recommend Acklam Hall enough, the staff were so attentive and the wedding team were amazing.”

This newly restored Grade I listed building was brought to life with blossoming bouquets, elegant details and the overwhelming love provided by the couple's nearest and dearest. “We just wanted the day to be relaxed and full of laughter. We wanted our close family and friends enjoying themselves, making memories.”

How did you choose your photographer?

“After doing a lot of research we were always drawn to Helen’s work. The detail, the shots and even just the moments that she captures, they always seem like perfect timing. We are over the moon with our wedding photographs and it just confirms we made the right decision.”

What was your highlight of the day?

“Our DJ was enjoying himself so much he thought he’d join us all on the dance floor, he was a good dancer! My personal highlight was walking down the isle, the sudden feeling of overjoyed happiness and love.”

Do you have any advice for other couples?

"Even though wedding planning can be stressful and now knowing how magical the day really is, try not to stress as the expression goes 'it will all come together on the day'... and it really does!"
